Data Migration Specialist

The Department
The Fund Services team delivers an extensive solution for Hedge Fund and Mutual Fund clients seeking independent administration and custody services or to outsource their day-to-day operations.
You will be responsible for the following:
Understand the theoretical and technical nature of fund administration and middle office functions.
Ensure all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines
Flag any potential service delivery issues, escalate with other team members and manager.
Adhere to deadlines, communicate delays to manager and ensure work is completed as expected.
Ensuring all controls and procedures are complied with suggesting procedural changes to manager
Duties
Complete data migrations for Funds onto SunGard’s InvestOne Accounting System as well as Advent Geneva Fund Accounting platform.
Analyse and translate Third Party Administrator and Client data to match standards and workflows
Load and reconcile positions and transactions to in-house systems
Investigate and resolve reconciliation and methodology differences and update systems accordingly
Complete reconciliations to the third party administrator during the parallel period identifying, investigating and documenting any differences
Identify methodology differences to third party administrators.
Ensure all Onboarding-related issues are resolved timely and in full agreement with Operations, maintaining issue log for both internal and external parties.
Requirements
You will need to be available to work some weekends (agreed in advance)
A minimum of 2 or more years fund accounting data migration experience, preferably in both Mutual and Hedge Funds
Solid working knowledge of SunGard’s InvestOne and/or AdventGeneva Fund Accounting systems and NAV delivery process
Solid knowledge of fund structures and products
Good knowledge of MS Excel Word
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Professional and proactive approach to work
Strong organisational skills, concern for quality, accuracy and working to deadlines
