The Data Mining Specialist is a key position and a critical member of a small engineering team that will help to define and create the future of infotainment. The individual will drive the blending of the embedded platform environment with the evolving Web 2.0/3.0 environment. This individual implements key services that will integrate into infotainment systems in a timely manner to create a unique in-vehicle infotainment experience for major automotive manufacturers and aftermarket users worldwide.
This is a key technical position that will lead a small advanced development team to create a development environment that enables the conceptualization, prototyping, and implementation of advanced content(s) into infotainment systems.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Design data modeling/analysis services to be used to mine information to enhance convenience and user experience.
- Create data mining architectures, coding standards, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies.
- Create strategies that allow immediate and near term organizational goals to be met.
- Build deploy and maintain data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table creation.
- Devise, develop and deploy required data queries in response to business user needs.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on data mining products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Self-starter.
- Supports concept presentations to affiliates and Headquarters personnel.
To achieve speed in prototyping and implementation, the following are required for this exciting position:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field.
- 6+ Years’ experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of data mining models, structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Excellent knowledge with database design applications.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling tools.
- Experience with tier-one applications, databases, BI tools and data warehouses, such as Microsoft SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, SharePoint and others.
- Direct experience with data management techniques.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, TSQ, ASP.NET and .NET Language.
- Broad knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
- Experience with computer graphic and multimedia design.
