Data Modeling Lead recruitment
OptionsHouse is currently seeking a Modeling Lead to join our team.
Key Skill Responsibilities:
- Developing sophisticated time series models and conduct advanced simulation analyses
- Using predictive analytics, support key strategic business decisions. Initially focused on developing response models, attrition defection models, stimulation and winback models
- Performing econometric modeling and simulations/forecasts regarding pricing, revenue optimization, and customer lifetime value analyses
- Working with large datasets including internal and external data, preliminary data analysis, and multivariate model building including advanced statistical techniques (GLMs, regression, clustering, trees, etc.)
- Using SAS, Excel, and/or MS ACCESS to merge, transform, and update data from various sources
- Data cleaning, creation of predictor variables and building of Logistic or OLS regression models
- Searching databases to retrieve various types of macroeconomic and other data for analytical insights activity
- Utilizing advanced data analysis and predictive modeling skills to develop data-driving solutions to business problems
- Leading tactical predictive modeling projects development, deployment, and back end validatio
- Supporting the development and testing of technology code to transform predictive and forecasting model equations into computer programming algorithms, as required by OH business teams
- Identifying best practices and other key principles that would improve modeling and forecasting effectiveness and efficiency
- Working knowledge of data structures, data analysis and predictive modeling
- Working in collaboration with other team members, data specialists, business units, and others
- Proactively determining modeling opportunities for better business decisions
- Developing quality standards and improvement goals governing model accuracy and actionability
- Creating model methodology development and testing
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS or higher in either Mathematics, Statistics, or Quantitative methods
- A minimum of 3-5 years prior experience in building and implementing models such as logistic regression, time series, decision trees, neural nets, and familiarity with stochastic modeling.
- Knowledge of data mining algorithms such as decision trees, clustering, Bayesian, Association, sequence clustering, time services, Neural Network, Logistic Regression and Linear Regression
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders and with non-technical resources
- Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
- Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made
- Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project
- Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
- Must be able to provide documentation on their work
