Data Modeller sought by Tier 1 Investment Bank based in the city of London.
Skills
Target candidate profile:
·Solid relevant industry experience (preferably within financial services)
·Strong data modeller, with a good understanding of management accounting principles
·Analytical and focused, delivery-oriented but with attention to detail
·Knowledge of structured methods/architecture frameworks required, certification beneficial
·Able to plan and direct work as needed (PM skills with prior experience highly beneficial)
Required technical skills:
·SQL (static and procedural)
·Data modelling tools (eg Er-Win, Sybase PowerDesigner)
·Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server both required
·Awareness of physical database architecture and configuration constraints and considerations
·ETL tools (OWB, MSSSIS, Ab Initio etc.)
·BI platforms and tools (Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects)
·Data warehousing principles and practices
·Awareness of application development languages beneficial (java, php, .net etc.)
·Ideally, some experience with management accounting tools (eg Acorn, Ben, Hyperion Planning, Cognos Enterprise planning)
