Job Description:


The Document Preservation Services department is looking to hire a full time entry-level Content Editor for the Data Operations team. The Content Editor is responsible for editing keyed data to a high standard. Editing involves reviewing data and identifying abnormalities and/or inconsistencies. The editor will make corrections. Corrections are made with custom tools and stored data in a quick and efficient manner. The Content Editor will also be involved in the auditing process of newly keyed data for quality assurance after it is returned from a vendor.

Required Skills:

· History of meeting or exceeding company goals in previous employment

· Ability to work independently and self-manage in addition to being a contributing member of a team

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication is a must

· Ability to continually self-motivate

· Outstanding attention to detail

· Superb problem solving skills

· Learn new software quickly

· High technical aptitude

Required Experience:

· Minimum 2 years of college. A degree in History, Family History, or Teaching is preferred

· Proven Library or Family History research experience

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

· Accurately type 40+ wpm

Preferred Experience

· Experience with database programs logic (i.e. SQL)

· Paleography skills
