Data Protection Sales Executive,Federal Sales

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a successful Federal Sales Executive, based out of Washington, DC covering Civilian Agencies.  This is an excellent opportunity with a very competitive compensation and benefits package, perfect for an aggressive, high-energy, sales professional who will identify and bring to closure data protection software engagements for this fast paced and rapidly growing organization.

 

Employment Requirements:

·      Able and willing to travel without restriction in the United States. 

·      Position Reports to the Federal Sales Manager.

 

Qualifications

·         Experience in storage sales with any of the following companies: NetApp, Dell, HP, EMC or IBM is a requirement.

·         Experience in software sales with either of the following companies: Commvault or Symantec is a requirement.

·         Experience selling any of the following storage management software: VMware, Data Domain, or Legato is a plus.

·         Excellent presentation skills to users, individual contributors, executives, etc.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         A proven track record selling into Civilian departments and agencies.

·         Bachelor's degree or applicable job experience.

 

The candidate should have 5 years+ prior experience in Storage Sales.  He or she must be an independent self-starter with strong planning and administrative proficiencies, as well as the ability to accurately prioritize and manage time/resources for maximum efficiency and productivity.

 

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Executive has overall responsibility for sales, third party/channel alliances, and customer satisfaction.  This person will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Syncsort’s opportunities for our NetApp Syncsort Integrated Backup (NSB) product. 

 

Other responsibilities include:

·         Utilizes and follows an Integrated Sales Cycle and Management Process

·         New Customer and Business Identification, Qualification Development

·         Strategic Account Planning

·         Contract Negotiation

This is a challenging and highly-visible role.  The Sales Executive must be extremely results driven, customer focused, technologically savvy, and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships.
