Excellent opportunity for a Data Analyst to join a growing integrated healthcare company serving local area hospitals and primary care networks. The Data Analyst with provide production and analysis of both ad hoc and standard sets of utilization, financial and/or clinical data to assess clinical quality, service, and operational, organizational, and/or provider performance.
- Provide data analysis efforts that enhance clinical and operational processes.
- Develop SQL queries and stored procedures on a diverse number of databases. Develop reports for a variety of psychiatry and CHA managers including detailed, aggregate, summary, graphical and strategic reports. Provide analysis, interpretation and reporting of clinical and quality data to support leadership and clinical decision making through regular reporting as well as an ad-hoc basis.
- Work with department leaders, medical staff, nursing and key staff as assigned to assess analysis and reporting needs, and developing data sources and reports as necessary.
- Assemble, analyze and synthesize a variety of data types accumulated within any of the organization’s data systems.
- Produce reports that are customer oriented to: ease of review and understanding, contains data source detail.
- Work with other groups within the organization to obtain data, verify the integrity of data received and that discrepancies are resolved.
- Participate in cross-organizational projects as assigned; supports cross-functional data sourcing, analysis and reporting, and work to resolve issues.
- Provide informal technical teaching/guidance to peers and less-experienced staff; mentor less experienced staff; educate other staff and customers in the use of data reporting standards, new tools, and procedures. Perform other duties as requested/assigned.
Education :Bachelors degree in health care related field, information systems, or business management.
Work experience: 2 -5 years as a data analyst or similar experience in a healthcare setting.
Technical experience:
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Experience with Crystal Reports and Reporting Services (SSRS)
Proficiency using Access and Visual Basic to create databases and performance reports
Proficiency using data extraction tools accessing SQL databases
Ability to learn, implement and administer new software packages
Meditech and/or EPIC systems experience is desired
Knowledge of both financial and clinical systems
Experience using project management tools
