Data Requirements Analyst Job in Albany 12206, New York US
The Data Requirements Analyst has a key role as a liaison with company business areas to develop the data requirements for the enterprise data warehouse. The Analyst will collaborate with business analysts, process engineers, and others to understand business functional requirements, and derive the data requirements needed to support these business processes. The Analyst will be responsible for designing new business data requirements and modifying existing data requirements to meet the business need. The Analyst will work with the ETL and Data Architecture Teams as needed to ensure the data warehouse technical specification and design completely and accurately reflect business functional requirements. The Analyst will also assist as needed in data profiling, data quality, developing test plans, executing testing, and working with the Information/Data Stewards as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 3 years systems analysis experience identifying and documenting data requirements to support business processes in a data warehouse required.
- Minimum�5 years of Health Payer experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to transform business requirements into system technical requirements required.
- Demonstrated ability in performing analytical tasks using source system data in support of profiling, troubleshooting, requirements research, etc.
- Demonstrated ability in developing source-to-target mapping specifications that are clearly and concisely written to adequate levels of detail. Effectively incorporates examples and elaborates appropriately in areas of high complexity.
