GENERAL SUMMARY This subject matter expert will deliver training for audiences which may include EMC Global Services (field), their partners and customers, EMC Academic Alliance partners and the general industry. Courses in the curriculum may include classroom training and eLearning. This professional will work with the Content Development Team t o ensure that courses, assessments and certification exams are technically accurate and relevant to the current environment. In addition to technology/product competence and training capabilities, this individual will need to be self-motivated and work effectively in cross-functional, dynamic project environments. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Deliver classroom and virtual classroom technical training and facilitate hands on lab activities, including cross-training/qualifying other instructors. ? Maintain expertise in big data and data science related tools and disciplines through specialized or new product training, on the job experience and field-based assignments. ? Some knowledge in operating systems, networking, databases and storage technology would be helpful. ? Expertise in training delivery. ? EMC Proven Professional Certification welcome. SKILLS ? Data acquisition, cleansing, transformation ? Ability to map technology to business requirements ? Ability to apply statistical methods in context to given business situations ? Data modeling ? Data mining ? Quantitative visualization - graphs, tools, etc. ? Relative academic background:DB, SQL, statistics/math, physics, bio-informatics, operations research ? Some experience with real problems using statistical techniques · Familiarity with Hadoop and/or R software environment a plus
