Data Services Group (DSG) is committed to continually increasing the quality of the service it provides to the business while minimizing cost and ensuring compliance with all Bank policies and external regulations. The team services all business groups within the Investment Bank, specifically Equities and Fixed Income, Currencies Commodities and has responsibility to manage data that is used by a wide range of downstream applications. The team actively partners with Front Office, Client On-Boarding, Credit, Tax, Legal Compliance and other Operations units within the IB.

Data Services Group is responsible for the accurate and timely provision of internally and externally sourced client, account, SSI (Standard Settlement Instruction) and Instrument data on behalf of all business streams and logistic/control functions within the UBS Investment Bank. The team perform data entry of key account and settlement instruction data for investment bank clients/counterparties into the bank’s primary data management applications globally. They also maintain instruments across all product areas and lead the development and implementation of data management best practices throughout the organization to protect and enhance the value of the firm's data.

The role is specific to the Client Account Data group London managing RTB Core Teams.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Maintaining and developing relationships with key Stakeholders, representing DSG from an operational perspective, embracing Data principles and quality client service.
• Transition and service management – partnering with our offshore provider in all aspects of vendor relationship management
• Process Management and governance – management of DSG onshore / offshore processing units including Staff training, SOP’s, offshore governance, metrics, KPI’s, SLA’s, reconciliations, audit, SOX, incidents, escalations.
• Operational risk management – identifying, and working with, operational risks across a variety of stakeholders within formal action plans and on an ad-hoc basis.
• Process efficiencies and development – Issue resolution and process evaluation. Leading the team’s input into wider change management projects and forums.
• Ensuring that process and technology improvements are identified and realised,
• Supporting the delivery of new systems and system enhancements for the team
• Assist with the production of MIS for the relevant RTB teams
• Able to interact effectively with clients in the day-to-day provision of high quality data required by the business lines
• Be constantly aware of Data Management service deliverables to meet client requirements
• Evaluate current methods and strategies and implement changes and improvements
• In conjunction with senior managers, develop, recommend and execute business plans for own area of responsibility
• Able to effectively communicate root cause of exceptions and associated recommendations for resolution to other team members, and other teams within and external to Data Management
• Keep abreast of new technologies and applications and their implications for his/her assigned area
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in other parts of Operations and other business areas
• Show interest in the general strategy and direction of our business group within the bank
• Have a good understanding of what Data Management does, the processes involved, and how these link to other business processes

Requirements
Ideally educated to Degree level
SFA or IAQ certs desirable
Understanding of processes and how to map and present them from both systems and Business perspective
Familiarity with excel (advanced), PowerPoint (proficient) and word (proficient)
