Data Support Analyst recruitment
As a member of the Credit Risk Data Steward team you will be working with Risk Management, Change Management and Information Technology teams in the analysis and specification of business data requirements within projects. They may also need to assist with analysis of impact of projects on data lineage and provisioning and performance of application user acceptance testing.
Additional Responsibilities may include:
• Review quality of data entry, loads, transformations, extractions, merges, or other production jobs. This may also include the establishment and monitoring of service level agreements, communication protocols with data suppliers, and data quality assurance policies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and development or improvement task forces. Assist other groups in database setup, design of edit checks, test plans, data quality policy decisions, etc. to ensure data quality objectives are met.
• Maintain data standards, definitions, and models (e.g. data dictionary, organizational data model. This may also include any checklists, guidelines, manuals, templates, forms, etc.)
• Perform monthly position reconciliations between risk and finance systems
General Description:
Analyze and document business requirements. Accurately translate business requirements into specifications for systems development projects. Work closely with technology partners to drive systems design, development, and implementation or implement short-term solutions themselves. Participate in and lead user acceptance testing and training for new and enhanced systems. Work with other groups as needed, including Portfolio Management, Sales and Trading, Compliance, Finance, and Operations, to ensure CMRM initiatives support their needs.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Global Markets Processes and Systems.
• Strong analytical skills.
• VBA Skills
• Requirements analysis.
• Strong problem solving (error detection, root cause analysis, error correction), conceptual, analytical, and decision making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• 2+ years experience in Data Quality, Risk Management, or related fields.
• Ability to juggle multiple conflicting priorities.
• Advanced skills with Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of financial products (Equity, Credit Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, Commodities, Mortgages).
• Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products
• Experience supporting trading desk or middle office is desirable.
• Experience with Global Markets Systems in Front and/or Middle Office to include reference data systems such as BookMap.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or other process improvement techniques.
• SQL skills.
• Knowledge of Data Quality processes.
• Knowledge of data quality and metadata management tools such as Informatica.
• ETL and data warehouse knowledge.
