ICON Clinical Research is a global leader providing outsourced services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. We specialize in the strategic development, management and analysis of programs that support Clinical Development, from compound selection to Phase I-IV clinical studies. The successful candidate will provide support for existing client/server applications as well as application development of new systems which satisfy the information needs of the ICON scientific research laboratories.
Roles Responsibilities:
- Directly interviews and observes internal client at client's workstation to determine programming and application support needs.
- Develops, documents, and maintains project specific databases and applications designed specifically to meet laboratory requirements
- Writes validation plans and reports as necessary.
- Evaluate and identify new technologies to meet project objectives.
- Provide technical assistance to staff when required.
Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or computer related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working with client/server database applications
- Experience with LIMs or a science environment a plus
- Experience with Visual Basic 6, Visual Studio.NET, C#, ASP.NET. Microsoft SQL Server
- Possess strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, desktop and database applications.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and written skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels of our organization are essential.
- Knowledge of IT security and disaster recovery concepts and procedure.
