Data Validation and Control Reconciliation Lead
This role is responsible for the business aspects of stress test data source validation, sign-off, governance and risk to finance reconciliation processes for the Barclays project to deliver the PRA’s Firm Data Submission Framework (“FDSF”) initiative.
Working within a complex technology and business change programme, in coordination with others in Risk and Finance, the goal is to design and deliver the Group Risk data validation strategy for as it relates to stress data. The role will focus on the Group central aspects of stress test data collection however oversight of Divisional data will likely be required.
This will mean leading discussions around data sourcing, data validation, data requirements and critically, how these data points reconcile to the entire suite of Barclay’s Regulatory, Statutory and Risk submissions externally. In additional aspects of appropriate risk and finance governance will need to be documented and proven as functioning to the PRA therefore requiring agreement to data submission and risk to finance signoff and approval processes and timelines.
More specifically, the role will entail the following:
• Becoming a stress test data SME with full understanding of data validation, reconciliation (including to regulatory, statutory and risk returns (e.g. watch list).
• Leading discussions with Risk and Finance stakeholders around how to reconcile the data required to comply with the FDSF over the next 12-24 months
• Agreeing and managing the data reconciliation validation processes at Group level required to comply with the FDSF requirements in 2013 and early 2014
• Representing the requirements of the Group Risk FDSF project in discussions around the design of strategic architecture to support stress testing data reconciliation, validation, governance controls within Barclays.
• Acting as the data validation representative on all matters relating to the FDSF project
• Provide communication, briefing updates, and status and progress documents to support the FDSF Programme Manager.
