DATA VALIDATION SPECIALIST Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada

The DATA VALIDATION SPECIALIST participates in the validation of clinical data of one or more studies. He (she) is responsible for managing the data validation activities that were delegated to him (her). He/she reports to the Senior Study Manager (SSM) for the study and/or the Global Project Coordinator(s) (GPC(s)) overseeing the project(s).

He (she) may interact with Study Managers, Data Managers, Monitoring Team, Investigators, Cooperative Groups .

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

STUDY OBJECTIVES AND TIMELINES

- The DVS is not involved in the definition of study objectives and timelines.

STUDY DOCUMENTS AND SYSTEMS

- The DVS is not involved in the preparation of key study documents (e.g study protocol, CRF, SAP...);

- Participates in the review of other study documents (e.g. guidelines, working instructions and reports) associated to the data validation activity.

DATA VALIDATION

- Tracks the progresses of the validation activity compared to the study plan and follow on the collection of the Case Report Form (CRF) and Data Clarification Forms (DCFs) collection for the patients he/she is in charge of;

- Review data and issue relevant DCFs according to study specific guidelines.

COMPLIANCE WITH GCP, REGULATIONS AND SOPs

- Follows management instructions and works in accordance with GCP and relevant SOPs;

- Is trained at least on SOPs for all CIRG study personnel;

- Streamlines processes to gain efficiency and quality

QUALIFICATIONS:

Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience
