Data Warehouse Architect- Security Job in Rocky Hill, Connecticut US


We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect, with an emphasis on Security,to join our growing Architecture Center of Excellence (COE) team in support of UHG Enterprise Data Warehouse construction activities. The successful candidate will serve as an expert resource in matters of data and database security architecture definition and development.

Responsibilities:
-Provide expertise on data and database security, secure data transmission/storage, and data/database access controls
-Analyze data/database security in relation to enterprise security policy, data usage agreements and appropriate regulations (i.e. HIPAA) and identify required remediation activities
-Develop security architecture based on native database capabilities as well as add-on security controls, such as authentication, authorization, encryption, integrity, de-identification, detection and monitoring functions
-Support leaders, technical experts and operations partners in infrastructure and development organizations in considering approaches that provide for data integrity, information confidentiality and service availability
-Deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time, and on budget
-Identify, track and report on emerging security threats in the market
-Contribute to security architecture patterns, practices and policies to evolve the company's security architecture, and provide a clear comprehensive security framework

Required Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands on implementation experience with database systems including at least one of the following: Teradata, Oracle, or DB2
- 3+ years working experience in Data and Database related security technology
- 1+ year in a lead architecture role or management of a technical delivery team
-Significant involvement in enterprise level security programs/projects preferably for a Fortune 250 or larger organization

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with Teradata
-Experience securing data transmission and storage technologies
-Previous experience in Database activity monitoring and compliance technologies
-Large scale (10+ Terabyte) database and integration architecture experience
-HIPAA and/or ARRA/HITECH compliance experience
-Experience Designing and developing security policies, standards, and guidelines
-Security incident response
-Industry-specific certifications, including one or more of the following: CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, ITIL, CISA, CISM, GCIH or GCFA
-Experience identifying, assessing the impact of, and defining mitigations, threats and vulnerabilities associated with all three of the following preferred: data in use, data at rest, and data in
motion
-Ability to work independently to recommend and develop solutions
