Our client is looking for a Business Objects expert with data warehouse experience"" Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of our data warehousing applications, and their associated databases and data integration processes. 2. Interprets business requirements documentation and technical specifications. 3. Creates detailed design and implementation documentation before and after code is written. 4. Responsible for unit testing, code reviewing and validating own and peers work. 5. Must be able to package up own and peers work for release to Development and QC environments 6. Review and provide feedback on test scenarios. 7. Participate in builds and coordination of installations to application environments 8. Participates in the appropriate hand-offs necessary between functional groups in a mature SDLC environment 9. Provides feedback on project plans and deadline. 10. Participates in code reviews and makes suggestions for improvement. 11. Participate in process improvement initiatives. 12. Provides 3rd line production support. 13. May perform root cause analysis of a defect or production support issue. 14. Performs related duties as assigned. Minimum Experience and Education Requirements: Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements: 1. 4+ years of experience in a similar environment: 2. Experience with Business Objects and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 3. Experience using MS SQL Server and clear understanding of database concepts. 4. Experience with data warehousing design and ETL processes. 5. Informatica experience a plus. 6. UML 7. Understanding and use of object oriented programming 8. Awareness of design patterns 9. Experience with SDLC concepts 10. Understanding of ITIL concepts 11. Good interpersonal skills 12. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing 13. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail 14. Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills. 15. Must be able to work individually and within a team environment. 16. Ability to work within tight deadlines and in pressure situations. 17. Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
