Data Warehouse Technical Lead at CVS Caremark (Richardson, TX) (allows remote)

At CVS/ Caremark we are looking for Senior Data warehouse Professional for development and support of Enterprise Data warehouse. The Technical Lead will provide high quality technology support that address business needs by developing applications within multiple technology environments.

• Design, develop, code, test, debug and document programming applications to satisfy requirements of one or more user areas.
• Provide 24-hour daily production and technical support to assigned systems when required.
• Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level.
• Work closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes.
• Additionally, research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations.
• Involved in application issue/resolution and provide 2nd level support for any specific issue related to application that needs application development support.
• Provide technical leadership during implementation of enterprise wide software solutions in direct alignment with business objectives.
• The development and support environment is of multiple data warehouses on Teradata, Oracle UDB DB2.
• Utilize multiple programming languages with SQL expertise and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades
• Test, modifying, and implementing application codes; make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards
• Evaluate service level issues and suggested enhancements escalated by Service Delivery Team to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies
•Engage third party vendors on applications support issues

• 8+ years experience in information technology industry in large corporate environment.

5+ years experience with design, development and support of Data Warehouse / BI systems with RDBMS like Oracle OR Teradata, Power center experience and DB2.

Informatica experience required

Extensive Customer/Operation Support

• Minimum 3+ years work experience in handling large volume of data and experience with Unix Shell Scripting.

Strong Written/Verbal Communication skills

• 5+ years experience development and support of large data warehouse environment using scheduling tools and interacting with Business, IT Leaders and IT technical staff.
• Understanding of Health Care, experience with Clinical data, HIPAA and other regulations.
• Must be innovative, creative and results oriented
• Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business
• Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
• Experience with offshore vendor interaction and engagement

High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years experience or Bachelor’s Degree
