Database Administrator (FRACAS) Job in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania US

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4 years experience is required.

Knowledge of DOD and Army communications, command and control, and/or sensor systems is preferred. Requires Two years industry experience in a (process) quality management role with exposure to Six Sigma, Lean, Etc. Experience with basic Oracle functions (SQLPlus) and Windchill or Incident Management Reporting systems. Relational Database Experience preferred.

Good communications and analytical skills and working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs are required.

Requires ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

Position may require travel.

Must be able to pass / maintain a DoD Security Clearance - active clearance is preferred.

We have an immediate opportunity at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for an all-round Database Administrator to provide data integrity, administration, and system support: Perform a range of design, development, or review tasks under minimal supervision; Will work in "Relic" Programming; Creates drawings, illustrations and cartoons for publications and presentations; Designs and constructs experimental/prototype models to engineering requirements; Performs a wide variety of duties of complex nature in the installation, testing, modification, and operation of electronic equipment; Provides technical data and evaluation for components, equipment and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout and contract requirements; Investigates systems problems and provides white papers on the results of the investigation; Installs, monitors, and services equipment and systems at Company and client sites; Plans approaches and conducts various experiments to develop equipment or systems characterized by difficult performance requirements and unusual combinations of techniques or components.
