-- Database Administrator-01117381 Description Key Role: Apply technical expertise to support the use of database management systems (DBMS). Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated user requirements. Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications. Develop, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery procedures for processing environments and ensure data integrity, security, and recoverability are built into the DBMS applications. Provide technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks. This position is located in Arlington, VA. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: -6 years of experience with DBMS analysis and programming -5 years of experience with the design of business applications for complex or mid-tier computer systems -4 years of experience with database management systems (DBMS) and the use of programming languages -3 years of experience with ASP.NET, Cold Fusion, or Java -Secret clearance -BA or BS degree Additional Qualifications: -Experience with Agile and Scrum development -Knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods -Ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing, and debugging computer programs -Oracle Certification -MCTS or MCSD Certification -Agile and Scrum Development Certifications Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
