Description
Key Role:
Assist the customer with managing information by identifying the best ways to organize, store, and present data according to user needs. Identify user requirements, set up computer databases, test and coordinate modifications to computer database systems, and maintain responsibility for capacity planning. Ensure the performance of the system, comprehend the platform on which the database runs, and add new users to the system. Resolve user database problems, diagnose database performance issues, and ensure the data is available by maximizing database uptime. Maintain data security by managing access, privileges, and information migration. Build excellent customer relationships and work well in a client site environment. This position is located in the Northern Virginia area.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with systems engineering or in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related scientific or technical field
-Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution
-Experience as a systems administrator
-Knowledge of database systems
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with application development in multiple disciplines
-Experience with development in SQL and PL/SQL
-Experience with the integration of COTS and GOTS tools
-Experience with full life-cycle software development projects
-Experience with consulting
-Knowledge of agency server technologies and systems
-Knowledge of agency's communications and information security policies and practices
-Knowledge of UNIX and Linux
-Ability to translate user requirements into technical design and implement code
-Possession of excellent problem solving, team leadership, development, client relationship, and interpersonal skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MS degree preferred
