ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:other duties may be assigned
- Understand database normalization and design.
- Write and modify stored procedures and have understanding of SQL CLR.
- Work with SQL reporting services in creating reports and results from data warehouse.
- Experience in setting up maintaining and troubleshooting transactional and snapshot replication.
- Experience in developing and maintaining SSIS packages for the purpose of data archiving and data analysis.
- Logical/physical database design, backup/recovery, performance tuning, business continuity planning, data mining/analysis, enterprise data warehouse environments, system monitoring.
- Provide on-call 24/7 support.
- Participate with on call duties with other DBAs.
- Write documentation to enhance internal process assets.
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in database design and administration.
- Experience with .NET and C# is a plus
- Experience with windows clusters and SQL Server.
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Self-starter, able to work productively with little supervision
