Database Administrator (MS SQL & Oracle) –Asset Management Firm recruitment
Responsibilities:
• To manage both Microsoft SQL Servers and Oracle databases
• Building and upgrading databases, adhering to company deployment and security standards
• Provide day to day support on databases, including but not limited to backup recovery, patches deploying, troubleshooting, monitoring, disaster recovery planning
• Assisting application teams to resolve performance issues when they arise, coordinating with cross-functional teams where appropriate
• Providing innovative solutions to service delivery issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
• Excellent technical knowledge gained from hands on role within a global organization, preferably in Financial Services industry
• Min. 5 years’ experience of MS SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008), and Oracle database (10g, 11g)
• Qualified in Oracle (OCP) Certification
• Qualified in Microsoft SQL Server Certification
• Strong Performance and Tuning Skills
• Strong UNIX/Linux understanding shell script skills
• Experience in setup and manage transparent data Encryption in both Oracle and MS SQL will be an advantage.
• Exposure to SAN environments
