Database Administrator recruitment

Summary:
A multinational investment bank is looking for a Database Administrator to join their rapidly growing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective daily operations of all systems in UNIX platform
- Provide support and administration on Sybase
- Complete hardware and software upgrades and security patches
- Development and maintenance of database tables and dictionaries, recovery and backup procedures in compliance to the company’s best practices
- Recommend solutions to issues regarding the database systems
- Troubleshoot, perform performance tuning in application system/database and integration issues in both development and production environment
Requirements:
- Holder of a Degree Computer Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years’ solid experience on Sybase database systems
- Previous exposure to the investment banking environment
- Solid experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment
- Experience in Database performance diagnosis tuning, holder of OCA/OCP credential preferred but not mandatory
- Able to work independently as well as a strong team player
- Fluent in written and spoken English
