Database Architect, Senior Job

Description Key Role: Design, implement, maintain, and consolidate database systems across an enterprise network. Maintain responsibility for the design and administration of databases and create and maintain standard database policies, operating procedures, and documentation. Identify opportunities, implement solutions to enhance existing database systems, and provide expertise concerning Data Warehousing and Datamarts. Participate in IT and business projects to define database system requirements and recommend technology solutions. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: -20+ years of experience with database design and administration -Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2008 -Experience with SQL Server Reporting Service and SQL Server Integration Service -Experience with SQL Server clusters, database performance tuning, database monitoring, and database backup and recovery -Experience with Data Warehousing and Datamart technologies -Experience with migrating between different types of database technologies, including migrating Oracle databases to SQL Server databases -Experience with relational DBMS concepts, design, architecture, and operations -Secret clearance -BA or BS degree -Security+ Certification or CISSP, or must obtain such certification within 60 days of being hired Additional Qualifications: -Experience with Windows, Oracle 10g and 11g, Oracle APEX, Virtualization, including VMware, database-application development, BMC Remedy, or active directory interface -Experience with the Missile Defense Agency and BMDS programs -Experience with OM activities -BA or BS degree in CS or a related field -ITIL v3 Foundations Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
