Summary of duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the IT Director, the Database Developer is responsible for assisting in management of data in production and test environments, ration of reports and data extracts, and assisting various internal teams with reporting, analysis and data access. This includes assisting with the preparation of reporting for statistical purposes and DBA with the creation of SSIS packages for data loads.
Create reports for the business using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) Assist in creating SSIS (SQLServer Integration Services) packages for data load processes. Update and extract data using SQL Server 2008 queries, automate backend processes. Manage and maintain data in production and test environments. Assist in creation, review and optimization of application development database queries.
Qualifications
BSIS, CSCS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1 to 3 years of technical database experience on Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008.
Knowledge of T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Visual Studio and MS Excel required,
Understanding of relational database structures and designs required.
Strong SQL Server experience with stored procedures and database scripts.
Working knowledge of C#, .Net programming, XML, Data warehousing experience a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to research and trouble-shoot problems independently.
Ability to analyze complex problems and identify root causes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
