Database Developer – Oracle / XML – Investment Bank, Hong Kong recruitment
Working as part of a technology function working with the regulatory reporting group, you will be responsible for the design and development of new databases and datawarehouse technology for the group.
Job Description:-
- Working on the build and design of a datawarehouse environment using Marklogic and XML technology
- Responsible for the delivery of applications and services to the back office regulatory reporting function
- Working with the team to ensure Agile processes are adhered to
- Providing subject matter expertise around datawarehousing; through understanding of Oracle but also new developments in the build and presentation of data within large datastores
- Data extraction and load
Skills Required:-
- Good knowledge of XML databases, XQuery and XPath
- Good knowledge of PL/SQL Development and Oracle datawarehousing
- Experience working in a bank is preferred but not essential
- Good knowledge of ETL tools; Datastage or Informatica
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies
This role would suit someone with a passion for programming and the desire to work in a fast paced technology environment. The role involves a lot of interaction with the business, therefore a vocal and confident programmer with strong skills in the datawarehousing space is required.
