Working for a market leading Asset Management business this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to further grow their business experience and exposure as this role will be further developing an already strong and established relationship with the business units. This role doesn’t just provide business and data analyst support to the business services team, it works in conjunction with to provide solutions to best manage data from the institutional investment and transfer agency areas.
Working with a global business, the exposure to the organisation requires that this person maintain a strong attention to detail and genuine desire to learn and grow. As a part of the data services team, some of the key responsibilities in the role include understanding and defining the data flows into the organisation from the transfer agency side preferably as well as institutional investment. You be designing data marts (e.g. MIS), designing and specing data quality checks as well as creating generic functions, SPs in data warehouse to facilitate extracts.
You’ll to need have a keen problem solving capability as you’ll be looking to identify new sources of data to support business processes and systems and will therefore need to demonstrate a very keen desire to learn and gain knowledge from the business.
Technically you’ll need to have strong SQL experience from a project perspective, experience with Data Warehouse technologies (ideally Netik, although not essential) and experience of Data Marts. Microsoft Technologies (SQL, SSIS, SSRS etc )
BI tool – QlikView is highly desirable.
Ability to multi-task, problem solve and trouble shoot are all key in this role as it’s an ever changing and fast paced environment and you will need to demonstrate all of these at interview stage.
