Datacenter Operations Specialist
Responsibilities:
Manage and perform task lists for production which involves hardware responsibilities such as rebooting clusters and servers, alerting for failures and recovery and scheduling tasks like application’s start-up and shut down, maintenance of task’s sheets. It also includes hardware and system acceptance testing routines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Clusters and servers rebooting.
- Communication of failures to the specific team and perform the recovery process.
- Testing of TELCO number allocations such as toll free, caller ids and local Ids.
- Manage and execute application’s start-up and shut down based on dynamic schedules.
- Generation and management of tasks sheets.
- New hardware acceptance test.
- New system releases acceptance test.
- New technologies acceptance test.
- This is a full-time position working mainly third shifts working on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- Monitoring complex system and alerting to the specific/right teams at fast phase mode.
- Managing TELCO bandwidth by supporting complex calling schedules for various apps applications at hourly basis.
- Monitoring healthiness of system that supports multimodal outreaches.
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or any other IT related area.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking applied with an excellent attention to detail.
- Personal characteristics that demonstrate initiative and focus on achievement/results.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a highly collaborative, team environment.
- Ability to retain knowledge learned on the job.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar position is a must.
- Must be U.S. or naturalized citizen.
- Having knowledge around databases will be a plus.
- Knowledge in monitoring activities around MQ series servers, web services will be a plus.
- Healthcare industry exposure will be another plus.
