JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of the Datacenter Support Team, you will provide immediate response, and provide assistance to analysts and staff analysts to reduce outage impacts and maintain maximum server and network uptime.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of the Datacenter Support Team, you will provide immediate response, and provide assistance to analysts and staff analysts to reduce impact and maintain maximum uptime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide advanced support for troubleshooting and resolving Datacenter and branch servers, UPS’s and network related incidents. Provide assistance to analysts and staff analysts to reduce impact and maintain maximum uptime.
• Assist customers both internal and external with connectivity problems as they relate to the server and network, and the underlying platforms and server systems that support them.
• Assist with client testing, new implementations, new product access, and DR testing.
• Participate in projects as a resource, representing the datacenter on new product designs and implementations. Develop network support structure and process for new implementations.
• Evaluate new hardware, monitoring systems and tools.
• Provide staff coverage in the Datacenter Operations Center.
• Create, review, and perform server, network changes.
• Assist with major weekend Maintenance Windows as needed.
• Work with Server, Network and Application support teams and vendors to evaluate and test new hardware, monitoring systems and tools.
• Must be able to troubleshoot routing and spanning tree issues.
• Must be able to troubleshoot server systems and platform issues.
• Must be able to run and configure network cabling including fiber.
Position Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a datacenter/NOC environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a server support role.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with Systems Center, SolarWinds or similar tool
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an ITIL support structure.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in active directory, DNS, LAN/ WAN support, VMware VLANs, MPLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Net Backup or similar backup tool
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• MCITP or MCTS
• CCNA preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to communication clearly in written and verbal form
• Solid problem solving abilities and technical skills, Logical thinker, step oriented problem solving
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications and Visio Diagramming.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
• Excellent oral, written, analytical skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical employees.
• Able to work as a team member in a technical project environment.
• Demonstration of the ability to hit the ground running in a highly technical, fast-moving environment, supporting a global network is a must.
• Must be self-motivated and able to think “outside the box.”
