- Manage and coach your team in order to maximise their capability development and contribution to a high performance culture
- Drive through performance management in your area as a consistent standard
- Mentor and develop training plans for Datacentre Networks Security team members, fostering a culture of strong customer focus, innovation and continuous improvement
- Proactively manage all people issues including recruitment, resource management, discipline, performance management
- Ensure compliance with Health Safety and Regulatory obligations
- Ensure work practices and internal processes are best in class, based on industry standards and continually enhanced to deliver high quality, cost effective services to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Align with company culture and values to drive the customer ethos, vision, mission and culture of the organisation to ensure successful growth and retention of its customers.
- Support Incident and Problem management processes for all Datacentre Networks Security technologies, ensuring timely and effective root cause analysis for all problems.
- Manage release and new version deployments for applications and services.
- Manage all change activity including the assessment and implementation of 'bug' fixes as necessary.
- Support key lifecycle processes including capacity management, availability management, business continuity and performance management.
- Vendor Relationship Management including renewal re-negotiation of contracts as required by the needs of the business.
- Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with key business technology stakeholders; support pre-sales activity relating to potential managed services customers at the external customer-oriented Datacentres; provide guidance in relation to customer SLAs based on operational and technical capabilities.
- Liase closely with the Design Build teams to ensure successful handover of new solutions with a focus on ensuring that the solution fully considers the impact on existing KPIs, SLAs, service alerts and other service management processes.
- Assist in the selection and evaluation of any new Datacentre Networks Security tools technologies.
- Act as Technical and Management Lead on the consolidation and modernisation of network security infrastructure in line with the company's overall Datacentre and IT infrastructure consolidation and modernisation strategy
- Act as Technical, Management and Administrative Lead for the group's IP Transit Peering relationships
- Effective support and ongoing maintenance of key application and service platforms to agreed service levels
- Problem and incident resolution times to SLA
- Sourcing model to meet agreed service levels and cost objectives for the business
- Availability, reliability, integrity, flexibility and overall cost of ownership of datacentre network and security infrastructure
- Optimal Transit Peering arrangements with regard to service performance, cost effectiveness and traffic capacity
