DATA/INVESTMENT OPERATIONS SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT recruitment
The Company are looking for an experienced investment operations individual with detailed investments knowledge and experience, to act as a Subject Matter Expert. The successful candidate will initially sit within the Data and Reconciliations area. Ideally candidates should come with strong market or instrument data experience along with strong investment experience. Projects/process change experience is also beneficial.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work to identify process and service enhancements, or potential risks, to ensure the client service provided is of the highest standard and remains fully compliant.
- Represent the team, department, and division in a professional, collaborative, and commercially aware manner, developing good working relations with all internal and external parties.
- Investigate complex outstanding items / business issues, and rectify anomalies to ensure high-level of customer service and accurate transactions.
- Produce MI reporting to management highlighting trends/analysis/errors and providing fit for purpose commentary.
- Complete the full range of administrative tasks in respect of our customers, referring where necessary to Team Manager for guidance.
- Support business processing where required.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of platform operation processes and systems.
- End to end understanding of their tasks and how they relate/impact to all processes.
- Undertake quality assurance of work of peers to ensure errors are minimised and the customer receives best quality service/data/information.
- Recommend changes to procedures and participate in their implementation, ensuring that they are scalable, repeatable and efficient.
- Support the on going development of the 2012 Business Plan.

Core Requirements:
- With a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, strong technical investment knowledge and an ability to creatively solve problems.
- Strong market data experience.
- Experience working with an investment system such as hiPortfolio, Cadis, Goldensource, or other front office systems.
- Testing experience.
- Strong Mutual funds, Bonds and/or SIPP administration experience.
- Good level of knowledge of the product life cycles and the associated operational duties / processes.
- Good level of oversight and processing knowledge in Dealing, Corporate Actions, Income, Client Money, Asset Cash reconciliation, Tax, Data, Systems, Pricing and Transfers.
- Strong technical investment process knowledge.
- Strong experience / skills in oversight controls.
- Detailed data collection input.
- Experience of operating within a Custodian, Investment Operations experience of mutual funds and equities.
- Experience of dealing with external Fund Managers.
- Experience of dealing with data vendors.
- Knowledge of FSA rule books CASS, COBS, SYSC and COLL.
- WRAP, Fundzone Retail platform knowledge.
- IMC qualified/or working towards.
- IAQ qualified/or working towards.
- Knowledge of Bravura, Rufus/GTA platforms.
- Knowledge of data vendors e.g. Bloomberg, Telekurs.
- Experience of process mapping.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Risks, Controls and Audit experience.
