My client, a globally known brand, is in the market again looking for ETL Developer to join their busy IT team.
The role holder’s prime responsibilities are to support the design and estimation of technical solutions. In particular, through software development and configuration, the role holder will develop and test technical solutions for ETL
Key responsibilities for this role include;
- Support Technical Designer to produce technical design and estimate for a solution
- Consult with colleagues or clients with a view to writing or modifying current systems
- Evaluating and implementing ways to incorporate existing or new technologies
- Observing, testing, diagnosing and fixing faults in the software
- Writing and testing code
- Evaluate and Analyse incidents, problems and requests
- Evaluate and Analyse system changes
- Working with other IT specialists both internally and externally
- Supervision of developers when required
- Produce written requirements and technical specification documents
To be considered for this position, you will be expected to demonstrate good working knowledge of;
- Datastage Server Edition (version 8.1)
- Datastage DS Basic
- Oracle Analytics
- SQL – Must have an in-depth experience in an Oracle environment
- Proven experience of performance tuning activities and exposure to processing large data volumes
- Experience of XML, XSL, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, HTML, SQL Server databases and MS SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
- Experience of data exchange using XML files (10GB messages)
- SQL Server 2005 or 2008 using Stored Procedures
- Very strong data analysis skills
- Experience of SQL Server SSIS advantageous
