DB2 UDB Senior Technical Lead / Architect – Global Investment Bank (London) recruitment
Our client is embarking on a major transformation effort across a portfolio of global programmes and is looking to recruit a senior technical expert on DB2 UDB. We are looking to speak to a hands-on Technical Lead / Architect who can take on global responsibility for architecture and technical leadership and direction with day-to-day hands-on involvement in scoping and sizing; design and development; and performance tuning.
Required skills and experience:
- Expertise with DB2 UDB on UNIX / Linux including EEE / DPF in a multi-partitioned and highly distributed environment.
- Database programming including the ability to rewrite complex queries for performance improvement.
- Database development lifecycle for large Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence environments.
- Ability to design databases with specific experience on capacity, memory, data sizing and disk layouts.
- Technical leadership skills, ideally honed in a global environment.
- Strong DB2 UDB performance tuning and monitoring experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to prioritise, multitask and work with remote teams.
