DB2/MQ Systems Programmer recruitment
Description:
- Plan, install and maintain z/OS MQ , DB2 and other vendor software in compliance with internal processes with minimal disruption to services.
- Interface with Vendors to co-ordinate and resolve software bug and perform local customization.
- Perform tuning on Software Products for Optimization and better efficiency.
- Assist in evaluating, recommending, acquiring, and installing new software.
- Maintain and enhance standards and procedures. Update of ISO documentation required.
- Required to be involved/support projects discussion and activities
- Required to provide standby technical support on a 24 x 7 rotational basis.
- Expect to work on weekends (remotely).
- Adhere and compliance to existing processes and controls
- Effective English communication skills
- Result-oriented, team-player
- Ability to work under pressure in a global organization
Qualifications:
- At least four years of experience in MQ DB2 Administration in z/OS
- Knowledge in MQ commands, tools and API
- Possess strong skills in tools and products such as TSO, JCL, REXX, CICS, VTAM,TCPIP etc
- Handle version upgrade of MQ from 6 to 7
- Expertise in point-to-point, publish-subscribe and MQI client communication
- Experience in queue-sharing group, authentication and encryption, security exit, disaster recovery
- Ability to set up CICS-MQ bridge and related MQ plug-ins
- Use of Tivoli and NASTEL software for monitoring
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels.

- Able to lead a small team of 2-3 co-workers as team leader
- Able to design, plan, execute and make independent technical decision
- Must be self driven, resourceful and result oriented
- Able to work under constant pressure to meet tight deadlines
