Chevron's Energy Technology Company is accepting online applications for the position of DC Global DSM/WSM Coach located in Houston, Texas.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Directly responsbile for development, deployment and oversight of Chevron global technical programs that support competency development of skills specific to Superintendents, Drill Site Managers and Well Site Managers.
  • Programs of responsibiltiy are to support GUG's "DC Clear Leader" vision with focus on technical and person competency skill development for the global petrotech staff.
  • Responsible for deployment and maintenance of the GUG DC DSM/WSM Development Program.
  • Responsible for vendor indenifcation and upgrading of techinical and personal skills training courses as needed.
  • Directly responsible for supporting DSM/WSM training programs at the local level (identifying needs, ensuring global issues are included in the local program, tracking of program participant training events and assisting with training workshops as needed).
  • Provide operational support for GUG DC Accelerated Development Programs.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience.
  • Possesses relevant rig experience (being familiar with Land, Offshore and Deepwater operations) and is capable of leading development programs for petrotechs (specifically DSMs and WSMs).
  • Has working knowledge of both drillling and completions working environments and is technically comptentent in one area of operaions.
  • Requires international travel and will work with DC staff from the Rig Operations Level to VP DC.
  • Has a focus for people development and is motivated to develop and align programs enabling the DC technical staff to achieve competency growth.
  • Requires self initiative, influencing skills, high level of communicaiton skills and organizaitonal skills.
  • This individual will need to be recognized within the DC community as technically competent and a strong leader and will be in full support of the Clear leader" vision for people development within the global DC organization.
  • It is critical that the Global DSM/WSM Coach be a goal setting self directed/self starter capable of providing the leadership required for directing the global network of DSM Advisors and Regional LD Leads.
  • Must have a track record of demonstrated leadership with good administrative and organizational skills and be capable of both independent and team work.
  • Broad experience of DC operations is a must with technical expertise in at least one facet of the business.
  • Capable of facilitating delivery of technical training as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree is desireable.
  • Previously working with competency programs a plus.

    Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
