POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The DC Institutional Sales and Marketing Associate will help drive the growth of our DC and Collective Investment Trust (CIT) business by providing critical support to Account Managers in identifying, qualifying and managing business development opportunities. This person also will provide servicing support to DC Service Provider clients. More specifically, the associate will provide both quantitative and qualitative support to our marketing efforts, as well as project management. The associate will support both PIMCO Funds and PIMCO CIT efforts (PIMCO CIT's are also available for DB, Multi-Employer and 457 plans).

PIMCO manages over $180 billion in DC assets for corporations, public and healthcare organizations. Our DC Practice provides thought leadership, analytics, marketing and more to these organizations. Client servicing for platforms as well as other DC relationships is provided directly by this team or in collaboration with other Account Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The DC Institutional Sales and Marketing Associate will be responsible for the following:

• Identifying DC and CIT business development opportunities and support meetings with DC Practice Account Managers to develop strategy to go after opportunities
• Building and servicing relationships with DC Service Providers' internal staffs that impact fund selection or fund set-up to assist in gathering additional assets.
• Tracking DC Service Provider client and prospect sales, coverage and relationship development efforts, including updating and managing the DC Pipeline report
• Conducting annual DC consulting support and trends survey, including refreshing questions, contacting firms, gathering data, summarizing and publishing
• Preparing DC Service Provider client and prospect DC investment analysis, including current investment line up review, gap analysis, efficient frontier and opportunity summary
• Responding to DC related, and CIT related RFP and RFI requests,
• Responding to ad hoc DC-related and CIT related marketing requests from both internal and external clients
• Helping to gather, synthesize and share market as well as competitive intelligence
• Supporting business development efforts including developing and monitoring intranet and internet DC related and CIT related postings, helping develop and disseminate marketing material, and other related activities
• Creating investment performance tracking reports for DC and CIT competitor funds and benchmarks with particular focus on target-date funds
• Providing DC event management and follow up for industry conferences, Visiting Seminars, Issues Answers conference calls and web presentation, including working with Client Servicing

Position Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates must possess a four-year college degree with a major in Mathematics, Business/Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics or related field and be familiar with fixed income securities and portfolio management strategies. At least two years of work experience in the financial markets is required, with emphasis on investment analysis. Candidates with the CFA designation or active status in the CFA program are preferred. Candidates must have or obtain FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, plus CFTC Series 3.

Candidates must possess the ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of client sales/marketing personnel, both internal and external. The candidate also must have sales drive and enjoy developing strong interpersonal relationships. The position requires excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical ability. Candidates must be team players, self-motivated, and comfortable with multi-tasking. Candidates must be proficient in software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite and, ideally, Zephyr, Morningstar and other investment analytical tools.
