The Role...
You will ensure a consistent and high quality level of performance from all suppliers and be able to manage these relationships in the optimum commercial manner. In addition, you will manage and support the end to end service delivery of external Debt Collection suppliers within budget and SLA to exceed business targets.
What's the role?
• You will provide support and give direction to your 2 direct reports, ensuring that they are managing all audit, risk and governance requirements
• Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders and develop and implement both tactical and strategic responses to budget and forecast variances and targets
• Develop relationships with both internal and industry experts to develop a “best in class” proposition
• Provide line management and technical support to DCA Managers and Admin Support Teams
• Day-to-day liaison with business improvement, MI, outside processors, credit risk, to ensure strategies are understood and effectively implemented
• Accountable for complying to legal and regulatory requirements resolving complaints, including in-depth management of the complaints process
Boxes to tick
• Experience of successfully managing high value commercial relationships coupled with strong commercial and business acumen
• Strong analytical capability : able to grasp complex issues
• Strong knowledge of operational processes impacting the collections and recoveries arena
• Leadership experience within a Collections and Recoveries environment
• Understanding of robust financial management and accounting principles
• Confident communicator including platform presentations, negotiation and influencing a range of stakeholders
• Basic knowledge of project management tools and techniques would be advantageous
