DCGS Enterprise Engineer

The Engineering and Technology Acquisition Support Services (ETASS) contract provides a broad range of engineering support to the Electronic Systems Center's (ESC) programs located at Hanscom AFB and their geographically separated units.
The successful candidate will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, product assurance, certification, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, risk, opportunity management, issues, and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
- Leads a team of less senior personnel to the successful completion of complex technical projects with little management direction or supervision.
- Works effectively and cooperatively with other operational teams, employees of other related installations, and external customers, as necessary.
- Seeks information to understand customers' circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs; presents program level ideas to customers to build understanding of issues and capabilities.
- Directs and manages complex project schedules that often require interfacing with multi-regional or international activities.
- Independently identifies project resource requirements, integrates, and directs multi-project elements into a single collective overall master plan.
- Collaborates across the community to develop and release viable strategic AF DCGS roadmap.
- Uses end-to-end knowledge of network transport technologies, systems, services, protocols, performance monitoring and diagnostic analysis to establish fully operational systems.
- Employs creative leadership over emerging downward directed initiatives than may involve SOA, MBA, STANAGs, and Cloud Computing.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications;
Required Skills;
• The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years experience in C2ISR.
• Good understanding of SOA implementation strategy and its applications.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly meet customer needs and resolve problems and assist other teams' members in implementing ways to monitor and evaluate customer concerns, issues, while anticipating and articulating user needs to the broader ISR community
.• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge of DCGS baseline.
• Understanding of the relationship between AF DCGS and DMO.
• Acquisition experience evaluating proposals and providing technical evaluation data.
• Strong presentation and reporting skills with the ability collect and offer balanced, objective critiques and constructive recommendations.
EDUCATION:
BS degree and 14 years of experience; MS and 12 years of experience; or PhD and 9 years of experience required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires US citizenship and a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
This position may be assigned to a Jacobs teammate company.
This position may require travel of up to one week per month.
