DCGS Systems Engineer

The Engineering and Technology Acquisition Support Services (ETASS) contract provides a broad range of engineering support to the Electronic Systems Center's (ESC) programs located at Hanscom AFB and their geographically separated units.
Jacobs Technology is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise focused on capability improvements to Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited, to the following:
- Prepares, maintains, and reviews technical documentation needed for program development and execution.
- Requirements Development, Technical portions of SOOs, RFPs, Test Plans Procedures, Trade Studies, Project Plans, Product Assessments and reviewing industry white papers and demonstration events.
- Provide broad systems engineering support to Program Managers working Air Force system development activities in the following areas:
- Technical support on reviewing technical white papers and tech demonstrations and evaluations
- Requirements analysis
- Technical advice on technology insertion into the AF DCGS
- Technical assessments of proposed vendor design and implementation solutions
- Attend requirements reviews, user working groups, and other reviews in support of the sponsor
- Communicate results of technical analysis to the sponsor via written reports and oral presentations
- Attend ISR user community conferences, reviews and other related meetings. Communicate results and relevant items of interest to the sponsor via written reports and oral presentations
Candidates should possess the following qualifications;
Required Skills:
• Secret clearance as a minimum, Top Secret/SCI Clearance preferred.
• Good communicator with strong sponsor engagement skills and an understanding of the government domain
• Ability to understand and translate user requirement statements into Technical Requirements Documents
• Ability to understand the AF DCGS infrastructure
• Ability to understand and translate user needs into engineering activities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team (military, civil servants, and multiple contractors)
• Ability to prepare quality written products and presentations
• Knowledge of UNIX, LINUX, Windows Operating Systems
• Experience with Solaris ZFS
• Basic understanding of the following systems: CETS, SW, MSCS, Google Earth, CWS, VPC
• Basic understanding of the following sensor families: SIGINT, GEOINT, WAAS
Desired Skills:
• Masters Degree in Information Systems or Software Engineering preferred.
• Experience with Operational ISR systems strongly desired.
• System level software experience within ISR projects.
• Experience supporting operational ISR strongly desired.
• Knowledge of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) systems strongly desired.
EDUCATION:
BS degree and 10 years of experience; MS degree and 8 years of experience; or Ph.D. and 4 years of experience required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
This position may be assigned to a Jacobs teammate company.
This position may require travel of up to one week per month.
