Job Functions
Coordinate vehicle engineering test activities related to major projects. Define objectives of the test, testing methods, and provide written summaries of test results.
Combine engineering knowledge in the development, execution and analysis of vehicle tests based upon test objectives and requirements including; manpower, required test equipment, and vehicle allocations.
Analyze test data to ensure validity of test results. Present test results to Engineering and Management.
Travel 25 to 30% of time on various vehicle test activity including; cold ambient winter test, high ambient and high altitude summer test.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field required
2 - 3 years engineering experience in engine development and/or vehicle testing activities required
EPA 2010 cold ambient, high ambient and/or high altitude heavy duty vehicle testing required
OBD monitor and in vehicle test experience required
Familiarity with engine builds, vehicle repowers, data acquisition and instrumentation required including;
Engine build specifications
Marc tool and data acquisition
Portable emission bench measurement and data processing
Smoke opacity meter measurement and data processing
