Dealer Relationship Manager – EM / HY recruitment

 Position Responsibilities

The candidate will work together with traders to develop relationships and influence trading behavior. The objective of the role is to educate traders on the system’s capabilities and its ability to help maximize their business so that the traders become increasingly more proactive in using the system. 

The candidate will work together with dealer sales to educate them on the efficiencies of the system, allowing them time to focus on the sale of high margin, “story” bonds.

The candidate will also establish relationships with the technology team at the dealers and facilitate relationships between the dealers’ IT groups and MarketAxess IT. The candidate will also rely on these relationships to influence change within dealer technology so that their traders are able to utilize MA’s technology to its fullest.

By building strong relationships with traders and technology, the candidate will:

• Become the point person for the traders for all trade issues, questions, problems, and suggestions for enhancements;

• Become the point person internally at MarketAxess, mobilizing and coordinating efforts around dealer issues among client services, technology, sales, etc.;

• Make recommendations for system enhancements.

Qualifications

The candidate’s background will include:

• A minimum of 5 years of fixed income sales or trading experience, specifically on an Emerging Markets or High Yield desk; and

• An appreciation and solid understanding of the value of e-trading.
