Dealing Room IT Officer, Bahrain recruitment
The ideal candidate has to work on projects for regional dealing rooms and fix bugs in the pricing systems (mainly using spreadsheets).
Responsibilities:
- Handle several different tasks and prioritise according to business risk.
- Anticipate requests and propose solutions to daily issues (both workaround and stable solution).
- Work closely on pricing systems with Quants (in London), discuss with traders to understand and perform amendments of pricing tools.
- Understand FI products (mainly vanilla and exotic products) and investment strategy so as to provide with a functional support to different sales desks (about 40 applications to support).
Requirements:
- Engineering school or Master's degree in Mathematics/Information Technology.
- Knowledge of finance environment (specifically Fix Income and ALM Treasury) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Reuters and/or Bloomberg (or at least one Market Data provider such as Six Telekurs).
- Excellent knowledge of VBA and of any OO language and a good knowledge of SQL and at least 1 database.
- Good level of English.
