Debt Recovery Manager

I am recruiting for a Debt Recovery Manager for my client, a prestigious government organisation, for a 6 month contract.

You will be managing a portfolio of debts by seeking repayment through a number of means as well as achieving collection, settlement and debt reduction targets. You will be responsible for preparing and authorising write off limits and possibly may represent the organisation at court. You must respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner and assist the customer services manager with responding to complaints. You will be managing a team of c.5 and will need to contribute to the development of your team through training and mentoring. There is an expectation that you will review processes and procedures with an outlook to improve them.

The client is ideally looking for an ICM part-qual or finalist who is proficient in a credit department. The successful candidate must be experienced in the collection of debt and enforcement procedures as well as strong communication skills and be IT literate. You will need experience of chasing personal debt, possibly from a property or telecoms background. You must have an awareness of legal aid accounting and an understanding of insolvency proceedings. Managerial experience is also a must.

You must commit to undertaking a Disclosure Scotland application prior to interview. Interviews are looking to commence first week of March with an ideal start date of April 13th 2015.
