Decision Support (BI) Architect/Developer Job in Richardson 75080, Texas US

As a member of the Business Analytics and Reporting team, the Data Warehouse BI Application Developer will design, structure, and develop OBIEE/Answers report logic against the PeopleSoft EPM data warehouse supporting UT Dallas.  The BI Application Developer is responsible for the design, build, and deployment of the end user analysis components of the analytic solution.  The BI Application Developer is responsible for developing the interfaces to the data warehouse that will be visible to the enterprise, and must, therefore, work closely with both business/systems analysts and the end users to gain a full understanding of their needs.  The BI Application Developer designs the application, ensuring that the end user requirements gathered during the requirements definition phase are accurately met with the final build of the application.  In most cases, the developer will work with OBIEE/Answers as the primary front-end Business Intelligence tool.  To be most effective, the BI Application Developer should be familiar with metadata concepts and the Data Warehouse data model.

Minimum Qualifications: 
1.  BS MIS, CS, or related field required.
2.  Experience building reports against PeopleSoft EPM Data Warehouse, and FIN/HCM data structures.
3.  Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, 6+ years experience specifically in data warehouse/decision support BI Application (report) Development.
4.  Minimum of 4 years of experience with OBIEE/Answers.
5.  Knowledge of terabyte DW concepts, architectures, master data management and information delivery.
6.  Expert level knowledge of star schema design, and data models
7. Solid understanding of SQL and databases, Indexing, Partitioning, etc.
8. Team player, must be able to work with people within and outside of the I.R. department

Preferred Qualifications:
1.  Masters Degree.
2.  Solid understanding of business (accounting, budgeting, purchasing, etc.) processes and/or educational institutions.
3.  Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions data structures.
4.  Experience training business users in accessing/building OBIEE/Answers dashboards/reports.
5.  Experience with Essbase, Analysis Services and reporting
