Key Role Deliverables

Strategy, Pricing and Business Development - provide financial insight into competitor/market activity, financial/operational performance and making proactive recommendations around levers which the relevant business area controls - eg pricing, productivity, client acquisition strategies, trend analysis
Performance Monitoring - provide insight and reporting to assist the management Committee in understanding performance levels across the business, ensuring gaps to plan are highlighted and options delivered to address
Forecasting and budgeting - ensure financial plans are aligned to business targets and the Management Committee is presented with relevant information to assist in business planning
Financial Control - identify risks, support SOX controls and adhere to governance and Group Policy Framework
Relationship Management - with internal stakeholders, external stakeholders and ClientsLiaison at board level, this person will sit on the Asset and Liability Committee and will have familiarity with legal entity governance and reportingTreasury and Balance Sheet Management with an understanding of funding sources, margin calculations, RaRoe driven lending strategyAwareness of Credit Risk practices, Risk Weighted Assets and their connection to lending strategy This is a unique Decision Support/Finance role in Scotland given the detail of technical knowledge required combined with the board level and client facing responsibility.
