Permanent Sales Manager - up to £65K Salary - South West of England.
My Client a consultancy that works within the Defence, Military and Government sectors is recruiting for a Sales Manager to join and to develop their defence business, both directly with the UK MoD and indirectly through developing relationships either other major defence companies.
Essential Skills or Knowledge you will require to be considered for this role:
- A consultative sales approach
- An excellent understanding of the 'Business Winning' lifecycle
- Both 'face to face' selling and broader Campaign Management skills
- Commercial and negotiation skills
- Good financial skills
- Competent MS Office skills
- Current Driving License
- Excellent communication skills
- Current MOD Security Clearance
- Five to ten years of demonstrable success in selling systems and/or professional services into the MoD and/or its major suppliers as appropriate
- Detailed knowledge of and contacts within the UK Defence market, including the MoD and other major suppliers operating in the Defence field
- Detailed knowledge of the ISTAR domain and a minimum of 5 years ISTAR experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sales Manager is a key role within the Sectors, working under the direction of the Sector Lead to develop close relationships with new and existing Customers, doing the same with other key industry players, identifying new prospects and helping Bid Teams produce high quality, winning proposals.
