Responsible for providing Defined Benefit outsourcing services for the full service book of business. A multi-functioning role that interacts with plan participants and retirees in a fast paced, challenging environment. Requires a working knowledge and understanding of the Defined Benefit Calculation function. Job responsibilities include the following:
- Drafts and provides peer review for a variety of standard and non-standard retirement packages.
- Completes participant requests providing explanations of the various components of the calculations and benefit options, as well as plan provisions.
- Researches information in order to draw accurate conclusions and present viable options or solutions in a timely manner.
- Applies knowledge of plan provisions and industry regulations to day-to-day operations.
- Communicates key information in response to inquiries received from plan participants, retirees, and plan sponsor via telephone, e-mail, or letters.
- 2 or more years of retirement industry experience.
- 3 or more years of related customer service experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Defined Benefit products and services preferred.
- Excellent communications skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external parties.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with other areas.
- Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines; results oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and handle requests in a confidential and professional manner.
- Computer proficient with Microsoft business application software.
