Purpose of role

As a DC Relationship Manager in our London team you will be responsible for shaping and influencing the customer experience of a portfolio of DC clients and prospects.  You will have the opportunity to work with some of the leading minds in the global investment management industry to bring innovative DC investment solutions to our clients.

You will build meaningful, trust-based relationships with our clients, their advisors and service providers as you take the lead in helping us to address their challenges.  Your determination to help our clients will stimulate an environment of collaboration, urgency, problem-solving and learning among colleagues across our organisation.  Your energy, tenacity and creativity will help you to deliver innovative investment solutions that are tailored for the needs of our UK clients.   The strength of your existing relationships with institutional investors and consultants will distinguish you as someone who can make a strategically important contribution to our UK business over the months and years ahead. 

       
Role accountabilities

·       Successfully managing a portfolio of key clients and prospects and building mutually beneficial relationships that are valuable for our clients and for SSgA.

·       Working alongside the global SSgA DC team to ensurea superior product and support offering that is consistent with our global investment and service philosophy

·       Working closely with local and global colleagues in , Portfolio Management, Marketing, Product and Operations to ensure that we are growing our business in a client-centric ethos that also meets the needs of our shareholders.

·       Contributing to the achievement of revenue targets from a range of SSgA strategies and solutions for defined contribution schemes that span active and passive investment styles, developed and emerging markets, traditional and alternative asset classes, absolute return and multi-asset solutions. 

·       Promoting the heritage and capabilities of SSgA as a world-leading provider of investment solutions.

·       Ensuring our clients' positive experience within the firm by overseeing exceptional servicing, pre-empting any possible problems and proactively enhancing standards.

·       Safeguarding the integrity and culture of our firm by championing risk and compliance policies that protect our clients' interests.

·       Sharing your knowledge and experience with others in the business as we progress initiatives that make us even more relevant to our clients.

·      Understanding of best practice relationship management in a global investment management firm

·      Good knowledge of the environment - competitors, regulators, industry bodies, markets, client needs products and solutions

·      Expertise in a range of single and multi-asset class solutions
