We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver with a CDL and HazMat/Tanker Endorsement, who wants to be part of a company that makes a difference in patient’s lives. In this position you will be responsible for making deliveries, providing services, and ensuring patients and/or caregivers understand instructions for and are comfortable with use of respiratory and medical equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivers, sets up, and maintains equipment at the delivery address
- Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivered items
- Completes all necessary delivery forms and paperwork including invoices, work orders, manifests and logs
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulations
- Works with Customer Service Representatives to coordinate deliveries
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years delivery experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Hazardous Materials endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Must have a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) free from suspensions, limitations or convictions for Major Offenses or Serious Traffic Violations as stipulated in Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 383.51, Subpart D –Driver Disqualifications and Penalties
- Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License as applicable to the weight class of the vehicle he or she will be responsible for driving and issued by the State in which you reside
- Must possess a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Employment is contingent upon a drug screening test and background investigation
Physical Demands:
- Requires lifting and transporting of patient equipment
- Requires ability to lift, transport and move full and empty cylinders
- Requires contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
- Requires driving a company vehicle for the majority of the workday
- Successfully pass a DOT Physical Examination upon initial employment and every two years thereafter
- Requires potential to exposure to liquid cryogenics (e.g. liquid oxygen)
