These roles involve close interaction with their business and business change functions to identify the requirements needed to achieve strategic imperatives, working with the their architects and Managed Service Providers to identify solution options and make recommendations based on the most optimal 'fit for purpose' cost-effective solution.

The roles also involve the proactive and innovative approach to explore IT-led opportunities to streamline and improve the services to the business, reduce the risk of service delivery, enable new business capabilities, automate manual processes where appropriate as well as reduce over all cost of ownership.

Although these roles are most demanding in the initiation phase, with delivery responsibility residing primarily with our Managed Service Providers, accountability includes complete end-to-end ownership of delivery to the business, so a background in change delivery and solid project/programme management will be essential.

An important aspect of delivering services through Managed Service Providers is to effectively work with stakeholders to manage demand and ensure the matching between demand and supply to meet both contractual obligations and business timelines. In this role, and with the help of Demand Planning Analyst you will drive the demand planning, forecasting, budgeting, supply planning and prioritisation of projects within your area of responsibility.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

Delivery Management:

- Deep understanding of the project lifecycle, methodologies, tools and standards for both the development and support of applications and the use of these to improve the cost, speed and quality of development services

- Deep understanding of Project Management principles and life cycle with particular emphasis on Risk Management

- Understanding of established and emerging technologies and their contribution to systems and technology solutions

- Understanding of the Business Change cycle from inception to implementation including the organisation of Change initiatives (Sponsors, Steering Committees etc) and the construction of business case

- Experience of operating in a complex, multi-supplier, outsourced environment

Business and IT Strategy:

- Deep understanding of how IT Strategy links to business strategy.

- Understanding of the broad economic, legislative and regulatory contexts

- Understanding of FS or insurance markets, products, distribution channels and competitor offerings.

- Understanding of new and emerging technologies and their potential application

Financial:

- Understanding of the principles of budget setting and management

- Understanding of the principals of business case construction.

- Experience in the management of suppliers including both the commercial and contractual relationships.

- Experience of operating within and across a managed service environment

Business Relationship Management:
